Privacy policy
Last updated 2026-10-23.
Olith is run by an independent developer, a sole proprietor in Toronto, Ontario, Canada ("Olith", "we"). This policy explains what Olith collects when you use it to share and review mixes, why, and what you can do about it. Questions go to support@olith.app.
What we collect
- Producer accounts. Your email address, used to sign you in by email link or with Google.
- Reviewers. A display name if a share link asks for one, and an anonymous id for your device so your notes stay attributed to you. Display names are labels you choose, not verified identities.
- Payments. If you subscribe to Pro: your plan, its renewal and end dates, the renewal terms you agreed to, and the ids Stripe gives your customer record and subscription. Stripe collects your payment details, name and billing address at checkout. We never see your full card number.
- Your content. Audio files you upload, the measurements Olith makes from them (loudness, peaks, waveform data), version history, notes, replies, approvals and share-link settings.
- Technical data. IP address, browser and device type, request logs, and the signals our bot check (Cloudflare Turnstile) uses when a reviewer opens a link.
- Browser storage. Olith keeps your theme choice, sign-in session and unsent changes in your browser. These are needed for the app to work, and we do not use them for advertising or tracking.
How we use it
To run the service: sign you in, store and stream your mixes to the people you share them with, show notes and approvals, keep share links working until they expire or are turned off, prevent abuse, and fix errors. We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.
Where it is stored and who processes it
Data is stored with Supabase in the United States (US East) and served through Cloudflare. Email is sent through Resend. Each acts on our instructions under a data processing agreement. Pro is sold by Stripe through Link as the seller (merchant of record): we send Stripe your email address and an account id, and Stripe handles your payment details, receipts and tax under its own privacy policy.
How long we keep it
- Account data and content: until you delete them or your account, except what you added to other people's projects (see Your choices).
- Sign-in records (email address, IP address and time of each sign-in and of an account's deletion): 90 days, also after the account is deleted, to investigate abuse.
- Subscription records and the renewal terms you agreed to: until you delete your account. Deleting your account cancels your subscription and deletes your customer record with Stripe. Stripe keeps the payment and tax records it is required to keep.
- If you started a free Pro trial: a one-way code made from your email address, kept after you delete your account so the same address cannot start another trial. It cannot be turned back into your address.
- Reviewer sessions that have been inactive for 30 days are removed; notes keep their display name.
- Database backups are kept for up to 7 days, so deleted data can remain in a backup for that long.
- Request logs kept by our hosting providers: up to 30 days.
Your choices
You can export a project at any time, and delete your account from the dashboard (Account, Delete account). Deleting your account deletes every project you own, with its audio, notes, approvals and review links, including notes reviewers left on it; review links to it stop working. Notes, mixes, fixes and approvals you added to other people's projects stay there under your display name, because they are part of that producer's work. You can ask us for a copy of your personal data, or to correct or delete it, at support@olith.app. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
Children
Olith is not meant for anyone under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will tell signed-in producers before the change takes effect.
